If your looking for a reliable honest mechanic keep looking. I've called them over 30 times after they installed a defective alternator Dec 22 2022 and they still haven't refunded me. After I sued them! It's still on going. It's June 2023 they don't return calls. I've gotten 1 call after I wrote them as an excuse to why they haven't returned the money. I had to go to another shop to get my only car running. Horrible experience cost me $460 to have to have someone else to the work and pay a second time. July update, we'll have to sue him again to get him to return the money.

This place is a complete rip off, don't waste your time! They told my family they had a bad alternator and replaced it. The part they put in was a bad part, it happens.... However, when we tried to contact them to get this replaced again they wouldn't answer the phone at all. This guy not only put a bad part in the car, also way over charged. My family ended up taking him to court to see about getting some money returned to them. The court ordered him to pay back at least half of what was charged. This has been several months ago and he has yet to pay any of the money back; and once again won't answer the phone! Not professional at all, do not take your car here!

Mr. Bergin was very professional and gave me an honest estimate on my 2014 Ford Fiesta. He is fair, moral and practices good business ethics. It turned out to be my battery and not my alternator. He had a brand new battery installed within 24 hours and it didn't cost me much at all. I hope he can help me with my transmission or grant me a referral to someone who can.

I have never taken the time to write a bad review, never felt like anything was serious enough to do so. However, this place completely changed my mind. Whenever my car was having problems I started looking around, and by the reviews I decided to take my car here. The man told me the problem was the alternator, replaced it in a few days and I was on my way. Not within 1 minute of me leaving my car broke down. My car broke down at the Buliding ACROSS the street. I tried calling the guy several times, even walked up there knocked and knocked, NOTHING. I then proceeded to WALK home in very low temperature. I tried for a week to get ahold of them, calling, leaving messages, even walked up there 3 times. One day when I walked up to the shop, and a Different guy was there, and I told him what was going on, and asked him if he could get ahold of the guy that worked on my car, and he told me HE DIDN’T WORK THERE, even though he was inside the shop, and was the one that opened the door when I was knocking. I then knew what was happening, and had my car towed to another shop, where they told me Bergin’s put a bad part in my car, and over charged me. They gave me the old part, and recommended taking legal action. I spent almost $2,000 (tow bills, Uber’s to work and back, plus the work from two shops) to get an alternator replaced. As a female I’ve heard of men taking advantage of woman in auto shops, but this is the first time this has happened to me. It put me EXTREMELY back with my finances.
Once my car was fixed I was driving by there one day, and seen him outside. I stopped by, told them what the other shop had told me, and he proceeded to tell me he had been on vacation. Sounds extremely suspicious to me, especially since it wasn’t even a minute after I left it broke down. I’m not sure how he was on vacation not even a minute after I left.
Moral of the story, if you are a young female you might as well take your business elsewhere

I've known Big Jim and Little Jim for almost 30 years and they are the only people that ever work on my automobiles. They are honest and anyone I've ever sent to them has become a repeat customer. They are open Mon thru Fri 8 to 5 and Saturdays 8 to 12. Call for an appointment and they are open on some holidays. Give them a call if for any auto needs. You won't be disappointed.
