Yamato is amazing. It’s well priced good food right in New Albany Plaza. The servers are extremely polite and refined! Their service is excellent and Yamato has chosen the right folks for the job! I have never had a negative experience. The food is great and service is above and beyond. Tuna sushi pieces are a little small but appears similar to other comparable places. Would highly recommend Yamato. Great atmosphere.

I ate here a few weeks ago for my lunch break.The lady at the front desk was very kind. I ordered the hibachi lunch with chicken. I didn’t order it ahead of time. I walked in to place my order. The food was done in like 5 minutes. Which was odd to me. But I understand food preparation so I just accepted it. The chicken was gummy. The rice taste 3 days old. The salad was like frozen? The soup and the salad was the best thing. The actually dish was not pleasing what so ever. I do not have photos as I was so upset I threw it away immediately out of frustration. I wasted my money and time. If you would like to save time and money please avoid.

It’s really delicious! We come here every week. My child loves the Superhero Roll, and my favorite is the sizzling beef. Absolutely love it!

Ordered takeout, requested forks and chop sticks, left a 25% tip. Received containers covered in the extra sauce I paid for, haphazardly thrown in a bag, and no forks or chopsticks. The food is always well done, but after this lousy service (and this not being the first time), I won't be back. Most people don't bother tipping on carryout, and if this is how they treat the exceptions... Imagine how they treat fhe others who order takeout. I can't imagine how they treat the dine in customers.

I believe the chef is the owner & currently they are looking for help. The food is good and decently priced. I had the Hibachi chicken with vegetables and fried rice. My husband had the shrimp & mango salad and fried clams. Their menu is so large it was hard to choose what to eat!
